TB Tests

SCR

Also called Radiological Follow Up
In French Suivi-ClinicoRadiologique

What is it

SCR is X-ray check-ups every 6 months to 1 year.

  • This lasts for a few years depending on the situation.

Why do we do SCR?

To make sure the person’s lungs are still healthy and Active TB-free.

SCR is for people who:

  • Finished Active or Sleeping TB treatment in the last few years.

  • Have Sleeping TB but didn’t/weren’t able to take Sleeping TB treatment.

  • Had TB in the past and were somewhere where they could have breathed in the TB germ again.

The SCR schedule can change or seem to restart if a person has been in contact with another person contagious with Active TB.
