TB Tests
SCR
Also called Radiological Follow Up
In French Suivi-ClinicoRadiologique
What is it
SCR is X-ray check-ups every 6 months to 1 year.
This lasts for a few years depending on the situation.
Why do we do SCR?
To make sure the person’s lungs are still healthy and Active TB-free.
SCR is for people who:
Finished Active or Sleeping TB treatment in the last few years.
Have Sleeping TB but didn’t/weren’t able to take Sleeping TB treatment.
Had TB in the past and were somewhere where they could have breathed in the TB germ again.
The SCR schedule can change or seem to restart if a person has been in contact with another person contagious with Active TB.
